Good luck with the mirror glazing, please show us the finished creation

@Avery found this book in a charity shop and he’s only made croissants so far but there’s so much in there I want to try baking

Not got masses in and defo not going to the shop. Can cobble together one of the following

  • Sweet potato, coconut and coriander soup with bread and veggie sausages on the side
  • Sweet potato and black bean Wellington sort of thing, mini roast potatoes
  • Veggie sausages with sweet potato, celeriac and carrot mash

As this thread is where the cooking people hang out, does anyone have any tips for good places to get Indian type ingredients online? There isn’t an Asian supermarket around here and the spice selection in asda is a bit shit (can’t even get cardamom there ffs).

We made some rocky road earlier. It was comically easy - we’ll definitely be making more once this batch is done.

Chicken Kiev and chips for dinner later. It was meant to be a lazy midweek meal but the kievs that got delivered were short dated, and I don’t fancy eating out of date chicken

That soup sounds great but as a starter or light lunch, not Sunday Dinner. Both the other options sound very tasty, too
I can’t in good conscience vote for sweet potato mash over roast potatoes, though

Found a cabbage I’d forgotten about so going to do a puff pastry something with the sweet potato, mini roast potatoes, buttery cabbage and some gravy

Yum! :yum:

Pics please!

Can’t remember what I made for dinner this time last year

Oops, fixed!

Actually, I found it in a clearance bin at Crofton Park library.

Absolutely fuming. Just found out @avery didn’t take a picture of the lasagne yesterday despite the fact we’d talked about having it for Sunday Dinner. Don’t know how our relationship will recover from this tbqf :rage:
