Wife’s taken daughter into London to see Smeds and Smoods at the Lyric. I’m home alone with son. Scooted into town, got a flat white for me and a babycino for him and an almond croissant to share. Gonna walk for while now and then maybe a couple of pints at lunch

Pride today

My plan is to get one of the last trains back from Brighton to London… but the temptation for an all nighter is dangerously strong.

Have a good Sunday all!

Hate the way John Lennon speaks sometimes. Asked about his favourite Beatles songs “I like Walrus”.

“Walrus” :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

He’s dead mate

This is not how I wanted to find out

Should try to barbecue today to salvage the weekend. Bluergh :face_with_thermometer:

Just mowed the lawn and the subtle striping effect is really pleasing. I can see how gardeners, autocrats, gym bunnies etc. get addicted to the results.

Don’t think I can watch any more fighting game tournaments. The last one I tuned into, the commentators were one dude in a grey suit and a gold Luchador mask, and another who looked like Blade if he was a huge nerd. I don’t think it was cosplay or irony or anything, just their vibe.

Fair fucks, you do you lads, but I’m not sure the whole thing is for me.

This angel though

Barely slept, luckily my day involved minimal plans but still … I like sleep

Put a wash on, finish my book, maybe have a bat, maybe take myself to see the TMNT film. That’s the extent of it really

pretty sick of my housemate commandeering the tv all day to watch absolutely boring as fuck cricket

Morning all!

Wedding yesterday was tiring but a lot more fun than I’d anticipated. Nice people, gorgeous location, decent food.

Knackered today and didn’t appreciate my pal ringing the doorbell just after 8, returning our kids, and dragging me out for a 7 mile run. Think i was running less than 25 mins after waking up.

Fun dadded it after though, impromptu McDs breakfasts all round.

Now off to the Metrocentre, which is one of the strongest drains on one’s energy going, after the Trafford Centre, and Colin Robinson.

Think it’s Pie and Roasties for tea. Can’t get better than that.

Cheekster 2 's birthday today :cake:

We’ve braved the weather and gone to a wildlife/bird park - there are plenty of places to shelter in the showers so it’s not too bad.

Have taken lots of underwhelming pictures of animals and birds so far

Feel like I’ve wasted yet another weekend.

Stood for a while in a wildflower meadow doing some butterfly spotting.

Meadow Brown

Burnet Moth (possibly a 6 spot)

Chalkhill Blue

Saw loads of red admirals, commas and a few common blue and brown argus as well

Afternoon, had a productive morning after a day of sofa yesterday. Started on a new book as I’m hopefully out of the reading slump and done a fair bit of gardening. Using the new hedge trimming is so satisfying, might look into going pro at it.

Need some food inspiration, not helped by having a late night pizza to The Meg yesterday.
