Thereโ€™s a fancy bakery doing a pop up at the park opposite me on Saturdays, got some pain au chocolat for breakfast :croissant:

Shroomdogs, mash and veg and that later :potato::carrot:

Had a toasted muffin for breakfast.

Not sure what Iโ€™ll have at lunch time.

Roast chicken with sweet potato for tea.

Lunch might be leftover tagine from yesterday.

Tea is looking like crispy tofu and noodles which Iโ€™m pretty happy about.

Got a bean chilli in the slow cooker.

Iโ€™ve been trying to persuade Mrs W that it would be a really good idea to serve it in giant Yorkshire puddings.

Sheโ€™s having none of it.

Had overnight oats for breakfast flavoured with some fig jam I bought in a really good restaurant in Croatia, then topped with double cream, honey and raisins. Very nice. Will be doing again.

No real plan for lunch.

Dinner will be the save with Jamie Paella with chicken thighs and chorizo.

We decided in advance to have a picnic today. However itโ€™s cloudy and a bit windy so itโ€™s going to be a slightly colder picnic than expected.

For dinner weโ€™ve got this:

@avery made us these waffles for brunch. Half flour half blitzed oats. The ice-cream was my idea :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Update: Had a bowl of knock off Coco Pops (Choco Krunchies) for lunch. No photos.

Found some more wild garlic the other day when we were on a walk so just made a pesto with a mixture of nuts, mostly pistachio and some almonds.

Pretty nice, sometimes I think pesto is too rich but this is good as I put some lemon in too

Thatโ€™s so beautiful .
Did you use basil? A veggie pecorino/parmigiano?

Alas, not today. Sorry Iโ€™ve let you down.

No basil, just wild garlic, a bit of oil, nuts, lemon and I was going to do it vegan with yeast flakes but havenโ€™t got enough left so used veggie parmesan.

:expressionless: we had pizza the last two nights. What now? We havenโ€™t got much in the fridge or the cupboards, we arenโ€™t going to go to the shop. Nothing will ever be as good as Friday and Saturday dinner ever again.
