That’s ace - I spend a fair amount of time watching vids on r/skateboarding and there’s a massive overuse of slo-mo there, but this is how you do it properly

Mike Mo is so good at flatground as well. There’s an X-Games SKATE final between him and PJ Ladd which is amazing.

Proper love a good SKATE session too. Our kid has got really into Andy Schrock’s videos he does with his son and they play SKATE, which is hilarious given that his kid is 6 or so and just does wacky shit that Andy, as an adult, has a nightmare trying to pull off

Epic, thank you! BTW, speaking of our kid and skateboarding, she’s got one of those mini cruiser boards and she’s thiiiiis close to being able to pull off an ollie - I am so ridiculously proud. Can’t wait to stick her on a deck with tape so she can actually put the technique to use.

While Netflix has pretty much every Ghibli film, they don’t seem to have Pom Poko. I’m veey sad because I really would like to watch Pom Poko rn.

I showed her that super-stylised Andy Anderson part which I think got her imagination fired up, but then we got her the board for her birthday and she’s just been up in her room working on her stance and messing about with it - so much thumping but it’s well worth it.
