i’m getting very stressed about moving house. me and my housemate are looking for a 2 bed place as we’re currently in a 4 bed and two people have moved out and our lease is up at the end of the month. we probably started looking seriously slightly later than we should have but have been to some viewings, put in an application for a place right round the corner last wednesday, they said they were hoping to make a decision on friday but they never got in touch (tbf they did also say it could be monday).
we have applications for some other places but they all charge application fees and ask for quite a lot of stuff that it’s hard to just throw together, particularly lots of documents from guarantors - i usually use my mum for that and she lives about 70 miles away ffs. the forms also talk about running a credit check or some shit ‘which may take several days’. i’m hoping most of it’s bullshit just to try and deter non-committal applications (the one i did apply for was much simpler and free but did ask for a referee from work and to ‘advise them that we will be in contact’ but the guy in the office said they don’t normally actually need to contact anyone).
just want it all out of the way so that i can concentrate on packing and cleaning which are fucking stressful enough on their own tbh.
