Oh man. I had just been invited to Barcelona for a weekend break and then ten minutes later found out that a person I know from work passed away last night.
I didn’t know him very well but enough to know he was a really lovely bloke and that he will be missed a great deal. Fuck.

I’m not sure whether to WhatsApp my colleagues. A few of them knew him well. Perhaps I should let them enjoy the rest of Sunday. They’ll find out when they’re back at work. Fuck.

got the day off today. so knackered. might go for a run in a bit but there’s a RED FLAG weather warning because it’s really windy here. already seen a bin get knocked over so you know it’s serious business.

was out for pizza and beers last night in a cool wee place with some folk from work. one guy was trying to set me up with his step-daughter which was kinda weird. he kept showing me pictures of her like “she’s hot, right?” not sure how i was meant to respond to that really. americans are bizarre.
