I’m at work, the cafe is really busy with breakfasts and now all I can smell is bacon and toast. Soon it’ll be the gravy and meat smell from the roasts. I’ve got a pot of Super Noodles for my lunch.

Last time I took a train in the Netherlands to anywhere other than central amsterdam I wound up stuck on an otherwise empty train in a field for an hour as I missed the announcement in dutch that it was defective and we had to get off at the previous stop (was only one other person in my carriage so didn’t have any hints like everyone leaving). So it can’t go much worse than that!

Anglos all!

Woke up to the sound of whistles and clapping outside my window as the flat is located by the finish line for a half marathon going on. So just been sipping tea whilst listening to the new Fucked Up. No concrete plans for today bar finishing off yesterdays spinach and chickpea curry.

Fancy going for a wander in the park with my headphones on. Also debating about going to the cinema. After browsing through the listings, I’ve whittled it down to either Venom at the nearby Cineworld or a screening of American Ninja at the slightly further away independent picturehouse. Hadn’t heard of American Ninja before but from the trailer it looks totally daft but fairly entertaining in a goofy way:

Made it to Ikea and back without any arguments. Did have to stop at Wyboston services for a quick poo, but I’m still having a better day than the person who left their pants behind, scrunched up on top of the air freshener.

Got 17 packs of Lego cards because the woman didn’t offer me any and at the end of the paying bit I asked if I could have some and she felt bad so gave me loads #jackpot
