I always wonder how to commemorate too, not one for grave visits. I always think of Liverpool museum when I think of my dad so I sometimes go there if I really miss him. Must be tough being in a different country than you grew up in though in that respect. I think dancing all night is a pretty spectacular commemoration though

Happy Sunday DiS!

How did it get to nearly half past eleven? Where has this morning gone? I did junior Parkrun with Jimbo, and a mountain of washing up, but not much else. There’s talk of going to the park again, but I might see if I can skip that and stay in the warm.

Still in bed, about to get up though. Have to visit my GF’s grandparents later. Kind of want to do nothing today though.

Up late, had some eggs. No plans but need to go to the supermarket at some point.

Weather looking ok so might go for a walk this afternoon.

Big match later isn’t it.

The dancing was good - being very alive is always an act of resistance to the march of time

and the grave visit is out of the question as he’s buried in Israel

Oh well, he was quite an arsehole too so I’ll probably remember some of that

morning all

got up at 8 today so that we could be good and go to Tesco nice and early for the weekly shop, all worked very smoothly. a little too smoothly…

after lunch I’m off to the football. as this usually happens on a Saturday and we normally do the weekly shop on Saturday, it doesn’t feel remotely like a Sunday. and given I’m off work all next week I give it a couple of days til I lose track entirely of what day it actually is

Mental. I keep seeing Big Wave stuff coming up in the WSL Facebook page too - unbelievable that people try and surf them

That wave at Nazare is scary even to watch, let alone surf. Crazy folk out there.

Got it into to my head that I should go dig up some clay before I go back up north and try to make a bowl out of it. Don’t know how you do any of that but I’m going to head to the clay pits after I’ve had some cereal and hopefully nobody tells me off.
