Come Sunday the Super Bowl is upon us. The New England Patriots vs the Seattle Seahawks. While Tom Brady says he “doesn’t have a dog in the fight” (and getting properly roasted by ex-teammates) here we are. We have Green Day with the opening whatever, and Bad Bunny on the halftime show. Who can forget about the glorious American past time of COMMERCIALS every two minutes.

On paper it’s the Seahawk’s for the taking, but FOOTBALL ISN’T PLAYED ON PAPER. It’s been a weird season and it won’t take much (ie a Sam Darnold meltdown) for the Patriots to steal it. Rooting for Darnold to pull it off though, to stick it to the Vikings as much as anything.
I want to stay up, but Mrs HYG is off to the states that afternoon so I have to get up with the kids for school… can’t go to my mate’s usual party either.
Speaking of Sam Darnold did you know his grandfather Dick Hammer (yes thats correct) was the Marlboro Man?

WELL! It’s the first time our Irish brethren have chimed in all year! Good to have ya.
Would like the Pats to win as I have a nice 25-1 bet riding on them from earlier in the season, but Seattle are better and should win. Won’t stay up as my sleep is messed up enough at the moment, but actually not too fussed to watch it live. Zap through it in the morning for me.

People are taking the piss about Herbert getting a vote, but I fully see the logic. If Stafford’s back had gone and Garoppollo was playing QB, the Rams would still be a fringe playoff team. If Herbert was out and Lance had started all season, the Chargers would’ve been in play for the first pick. So who’s really more valuable to their team?
