Looks like Omni is getting pressed to vinyl as well. Really good album.

Great title on that opener.

With apologies to the person upthread who said they were sick of the tank stuff, a bunch of tank centric merch has just been added to their online shop (yes including the incense burners)

I don’t blame them for making a bunch of money — they definitely deserve it as far as I’m concerned — but when the band gets interviewed and they claim they’re forward thinking/not nostalgia centred nor sure how they can keep a straight face at this point. Been coasting on the old stuff for over a decade now.

I’m really glad I queued for an hour and a half for that tank and football t-shirt now.

tried listening to Radiator in the bath the other day as I remember really liking it in my early 20s and wanted a bit of nostalgia; it was well rubbish! Very thin sounding, did they not have a bassist at that point? Not impressed!

Wait what!??

Radiator is amazing, one of the best albums of that era!!

Ah nothing major. Think there were two separate posts by people in the ‘Last night’s gig’ thread by people who had gone to see them in Glasgow, but were not fans.

Sickening

The thin, trebly sound is a common (and fair imo) criticism of Radiator. I think Kliph managed to beef it up a little for the 2016 remaster but still sounds quite harsh in places, to my ears at least.

Still my favourite SFA album mind. Undeniable set of tunes.

The words used to describe the album in general, not the production, was “well rubbish”.

An album full of brilliant tunes can never be rubbish!

I remember seeing them live quite a few times in that period and being blown away by Demons. The version on Radiator wasn’t a patch on the live performance of it, to the extent that I’d be searching through b-sides and things thinking that there must be some different song which was actually loads better out there to find

But the tunes are also quite rubbish except for Mountain People which is still good
