Why was this the example that came into my head? Weird.

I know you’re probably just trying to be contrary, but in Scotland the things I posted a picture of are ice poles, and nothing else, stick or no stick

Probably all the talk of ice poles

to clear this up, ice poles are a brand of ice lolly. it would be like calling all chocolate covered biscuits kit kats. absurd.

Sorry def didn’t mean it to sound ableist or anything, just is very weird anticipating having non-zoom conversations happening in front of me again

:thinking::thinking::thinking:

Mr Freeze or whatever his name is is a brand of ice pole, which could be argued is a sub division of the ice lolly genus

Oh no, I didn’t take it as ableist. I was just trying to be funny and failed.

Mr Freeze is a brand of ice pop. Ice pop is it’s own thing.

Lollies are generally frozen juice-based things on sticks

Magnums are a specific brand of ice cream, again on a stick. Different flavours, all with a chocolate coating.

The park round the corner from me has got a pub over the road doing pints out the window (complete with a little plastic lid, presumably to get around licensing) that you can take to the park.

Not sure if it’s even a particularly good idea, but haven’t felt as alive in months as I did handing over money for a pint in a (plastic) glass

Never knew you were Scotch.

If you want a fucking pheasant you’re welcome to come and collect mine

Not trying to be contrary. I get those are ice poles in Scotland, but to me they are known simply as ice lollies and I made comment that lack of stick may disqualify them as such in some people’s minds and @japes said that no stick indeed does mean it isn’t an ice lolly, so I wanted to find out if he thought a callipo isn’t an ice lolly for clarity.

I very rarely am contrary for the sake of it, sorry if it came across that way.
