I think I posted earlier about this but I have limited expectations…and was very non-plussed with the single from this one.

Superchunk from No Pocky to Here’s to Shutting Up - minus a couple of minor dips - have one of my favourite run of LPs…but since then nothing has really stuck with me…still have much love and respect for this band and the label they run

How long do you reckon Stephin Merritt was in the studio for to record backing vox for the chorus of Erasure? 15 minutes?

Was quite excited to hear that he was on the album, but it’s like they went “It’d be great if we could get a harmony an octave lower on the chorus, but I can’t sing that low. Waidaminit!”

One of my favs on the album though (Black Thread is my #1)

all the backing vocals on the album are like that, it’s infuriating

They’ve just (well last month anyway) released a metric ton of live material.
