A teacher when we were in primary school told us that her friend put shoes on the table and died that night.

Not sure if she was telling the truth (or if it would be a stranger thing to lie about that). I haven’t put shoes on a table since though.

Because she was still wearing them and there was a ceiling fan above the table?

She didn’t go into any graphic details, we were quite young at the time. All she did was basically tell us that if we ever put shoes on a table we would be dead within hours, which is obviously a responsible thing for a teacher to say.

Yeah, I think most of mine are more compulsive behaviours rather than superstitions. Can’t think of any I genuinely have where I feel that if I don’t perform something, or something isn’t a certain way that I’ll be prone to bad stuff happening - but have plenty where I get bothered if something isn’t just so (the power sign on the volume knob on the car radio has to be pointing directly upwards, for example)…

Good song

I know it’s ridiculous but if I’m being humble, when I’m watching cricket and a team or a batsman is on 111 I do get edgy.

I wont walk under ladders but that just seems like common sense?

I do have a weird superstition about not eating raw chicken.

oh yeah fair dos, my friend told me about that once. shes v superstitious but i think its mostly about energy and stuff? shes chinese, she used to sit at a desk that was next to a window and there was like a passageway opposite the window so she got a mirror and pointed it facing out to reflect the energy back

None at all but I’m very interested in them, some of them are cray cray.

My auntie wouldn’t accept a picture of an owl from me because they’re of course harbingers of death and she didn’t want it in her house. She could have just not liked it and this was an elaborate way of saying so…

De La Soul’s extra member was playing havoc with the back catalogue

Being on 111 and edging to first slip that is, not edging to first slip itself which I’m quite good at.

Have you seen hunt for the wilderpeople?
The auntie in that totally reminds me of my auntie too. Maddy.

The TV won’t buy white lilies as he thinks they’re associated with death

New shoes on the table is a funny one as that’s would be the only time I would allow shoes on the table, if they were new.
