Cardiovascular and immune health. Garlic is VERY good for you. I take 2 garlic tablets a day!

vitamin d does seem to be getting the dissers choice award

is there some reason to take that on its own rather than a big generic mix? just the price of it?

Something to do with not getting any sunlight living in this Brexit hellhole of an island

what’s the best immune system supplement?

not sure actually, feel like mixing it with stuff might nullify it?

Stopped taking supplements a few years ago. Read stuff about them and came to the conclusion that I was getting the required amount from my normal diet. My understanding is that the body will naturally get rid of any overdoses of vitamins to balance things out and this happens with many vitamin tablets. Balanced diet and a glass of beetroot juice every morning does me fine

Sometimes take b12 and iron when I remember. Not done it for ages though probably should especially B12.

any particular reason or do you just fancy it?

Be careful with Vitamin D supplements guys. Too much Vitamin D can cause a variety of health problems (including heart problems)

If you’re concerned about your Vitamin D levels (most of you will be absolutely fine) speak to a doctor first before getting involved with supplements.

When I used to give blood my iron was at the very lowest they would accept (would have to do additional tests), so it would speed that up.

B12 (I think) is the only vitamin that vegans can’t get from other natural sources. And I eat mostly a vegan diet.

pfff fuck that

Sure. Vitamin D toxicity is on the rise because people aren’t careful with it. But in most instances, you simply won’t need it so supplements will be a waste of money. But, y’know, your choice.

None. I don’t have money I want to piss away.

Think we should go to the doctor to check.

It’s more than reasonably if you’re drinking your two litres of water a day

does water count as a supplement

I’ve not seen it alongside the multivitamins in Sainsburys, but you never know these days
