Had a nice Paddy’s Day, friends were out drinking from 1 but I didn’t start until 5:30, went to Voodoo which wasn’t too overcrowded. Was worried that I’d left it a bit late as my friend was already wasted and on the verge of going home, though he went to get a McDonalds and came back semi-refreshed for another few hours.
We left to go and get food somewhere but one of the group had gone in to Santeria next door to use the toilets and then ordered herself a cocktail so we ended up going in for one, then stayed there for several hours instead of eating, kept getting handed different coloured cocktails over and over. The music in there was incredible, they were playing an Oh Sees song when I arrived and they played at least 8 or 9 more the whole time we were there, lots of Parquet Courts and Viagra Boys too. Almost every song I either already liked it or was shazamming it because it sounded great (bit of Fontaines, Kojaque and Gemma Dunleavy thrown in for the occasion).
Went round to a cold beer garden at the end, had my friend’s hat stolen off my head by some teenagers on bikes on the way there (impressively carried out in a tag team manoeuvre to be fair to them - one slapped it off my head and another scooped it off the ground with his foot) and then my friend’s friends kept offering me coke which I politely declined. Struggled to have a piss in peace because people were impatiently waiting to get into the cubicle to do a line. Just have another pint, lads.
Walked home and got a Subway, fell asleep quite early by my standards and woke up quite early this morning and much less hungover than I’d expected.

Didn’t do anything for it last year, can’t remember why. Friend mustn’t have been around and other friends didn’t do anything. I remember lying to my housemate that I had plans because I didn’t want to be pitied or invited along with his mates, but I actually just went for a walk around town, caught a bit of the parade and then went to the cinema on my own (was quite nice actually).

No, it’s a guy called JP who’s choreographed loads of music videos. He’s really good with the kids - even I feel motivated watching!

Waiting for my phone to charge so I can head into town and buy some records, because I never remember to charge my phone when I’m drunk.
Morning all. Coffee and brio to start the day, plus looks like the makings of nice weather.
My wife is helping my mother in law move house today so just me and the boy for much of the day. Feel like it’s a prime bonding opportunity but no idea what to do and still shaking off a nasty chest infection. Might just be more coffee and brio.

Just went out to get some Lucky Saints and snacks for a full day of sport on the sofa. Should be nice
Off to do a food shop on an empty stomach, I’m sure I’ll make sensible choices.
