Good start. I come into the series with biases.
Armando - a massive comedy hero of mine
Amy - so endearing, have listened to her Single Ladies podcast for ages and she’s just LOVELY
Joel - he’s done a lot of work with a wonderful charity local to me, to the point of even travelling to Corby to host a fundraiser the other week. A top lad by all accounts.
Joanne - slagged off Things You Should Have Done in a very rude way and she is going to have to go a long way to win me back.
Don’t know much of Kumail except The Big Sick.
All seemed good except Joanne, jury’s still out there. The egg task is really lovely stuff. Looking forward to someone slapping it out of his hand during episode 10.

Turns out Kumail Nanjiani is related to Scottish newscasting legend Shereen Nanjiani, a discovery which has really pleased me.

Catching up on this. Was skeptical at the outset. Delighted to be proven wrong. Storming first episode. The cast dynamic is phenomenal; incredible chaos energy all-round.

Think the best thing is no one is playing grumpy old person or trying to be ‘too smart’ and tricky, everyone just actually playing along instead of trying to show off

The studio task was properly great. But I think it would have been with anyone.
Really enjoyable first episode but not quite getting the adoration the 5 of them are getting just yet myself. Didn’t dislike anyone not massively adore anyone either.
But I’m probably still pining for the back to back greatness of series 19 and 20s cast.
