I, for one, am very happy.

Also, they never really went away.

Proper Gandalf vibes from Roland. It’s a great song. Does anyone remember the Hot Chip cover they did a few years ago?

Interesting band, Tears For Fears. Never particularly cool or groundbreaking in their heyday, but compared to most other mainstream 80s synth-pop bands, their music has aged really really well and still sounds fresh and exciting imo
Not that fussed about this song on first listen but glad they’re still out there doing it

I’d agree. Their music from the 80’s sounds timeless. They sort of sat behind new order and depeche mode for me. Respect to them.

Think Sowing The Seeds is one of the all time great songs. Love how it feels like a journey throughout

Don’t know what it is about them but they have always been able to give me goosebumps, good to see they haven’t lost it.

I’ve listened to Songs From the Big Chair a fair bit recently, it’s proper good. Really want to find a nice vinyls copy

Should be an easy one if you don’t mind an oldie, seems to be loads about. I got an immaculate one for about a fiver

Yeah in theory it feels like it should be, but none of my locals seem to have a copy. I’m sure one will show up when I least expect it

The TV loves them, so this will be exciting news for her. We had tickets to see them a few years back, but the tour was cancelled due to Roland being in ill health following the sudden death of his wife - hopefully he’s ok now :+1:

New song is great innit. Wasn’t expecting the glitchy Kid A beginning.

yeah my Songs From The Big Chair and The Hurting are both from second hand shops, so cheap

I also have the 30th anniversary CD box set of the Hurting which comes with this live show on DVD which is incredible

saw them at their first show in the UK in something like 11 years a few years ago at a race course of all places - was glorious

Really like Tears For Fears. Saw them at Canterbury’s cricket ground a couple of years ago and it was a blast (also helped with having ABC as a support act).

I mean, look at that setlist! Banger after banger after banger (although the Creep cover was ill-advised):
