Had to resist getting tickets for all three, as I can’t really justify the expense at the moment. On balance I went with the second night.

went for the second night, hoping they’ll do a “best of” in the encore each night anyway

No Catholic Education? :-1:

Got tickets for the second night at Glasgow, will enjoy listening to a bit of Grand Prix as a starter before the main course of the GREATEST TEENAGE FANCLUB ALBUM EVER MADE.

Wurghh, can’t quite imagine this. Sounds slightly acrimonious despite him playing a few more dates…

Gerry is leaving?!! This is unthinkable. No more performances of ‘Star Sign’, ‘Sparky’s Dream’, ‘Don’t Look Back’ etc.

Nooooooooooo. Saw them at Primavera last year and it looked like they were having a great time. Bit of a shock

“Don’t look back on empty feelings”, sprung to mind when reading this today.
What a shame. I spoke to him at a friends wedding a while back, a lovely fella.

Hi

can you guys have a listen to my new song

Thank you

Michael

Not as good as Teenage Fanclub.

Pretty much word for word what I wrote on Facebook earlier, citing those three songs.

Have you seen Gerry’s own comment on this? Seems he doesn’t like flying, or think that is what he is saying.

For my money, they were one of my favourites for years, and Bandwagonesque remains an all time top tenner for me, but they essentially turned cloyingly twee about 20 years ago and haven’t really ever recovered. Seen them twice in the last ten years (an ATP and End of the Road) and both were just “och look how bloody nice we are lets go to the post office and eat a twix”.

Have basically been waiting for them to find their pedals again for two decades.

He did write a song called “Fear of Flying”.

i wasn’t mad about “man-made” or “shadows” but thought the last album was a big step in the right direction, “i have nothing more to say” in particular is a belter

This is a long shot…

I have a ticket for the 2nd night in London (14th November) - the Grand Prix/Northern Britain night. I’m absolutely gutted, though, because I now have to be away at a conference in York that night.

I don’t suppose anyone has a ticket for the first night that they’d fancy swapping for a second night ticket?

Or even a 3rd night ticket that they’d fancy swapping for a 2nd night one.

i’ve got a spare for tomorrow night at the barras

gies a shout if you or anyone you know would like to swap it for £27
