haha I swear we have this thread once a month. it’s a bit of a dump as capital cities go though
I didn’t mean to be snarky, I just thought it was funny, especially as it was at the top of your list.
Thought it was pretty rubbish and well expensive tbh
Alright lads, gonna be sneaking over for a couple days midweek next week, sláinte!
An-mhaith! What have you got planned? You should go to Against the Grain and drink all their beers
well, it’s a very last minute booked/planned thing where I’m going to visit a lassie takes self over to the love life thread so tbh I’m kinda letting her lead the charge, but I will keep that place in mind
You just can’t keep a good county…antrim?
is that the Galway Bay Brewery one? haven’t been in it but they’ve also got a pub right round the corner from my house. slightly pricey but good.
definitely Whelans for this
ooh nice one!
it is yeah! they’ve a few in Dublin, Black Sheep and Brew Dock are also good
I love their beers but the pubs I’ve been to of theirs were shiiiiite (the one opposite conolly and Alfie byrnes)
the one beside me (Northern Lights in Belfast) is decent, though tbf i only ever go when it’s really quiet for an after work pint with a book, never really gone there on a proper night out so not sure how it stacks up in that department
annoyingly I’m leaving the day Iceage are playing
ah, a friend was asking me to go to that. it’s in the Workmans too which is a nice spot. might just go to Terry in Belfast that night instead though (Terry haven’t grabbed me at all but Cruising are doing a one off reunion support slot so might just go for them)
Oh really I think Terry are awesome, this record especially:
they’re very good fun live if that helps
should probably make @Kallgeese aware of this
i’ve only listened to bits and pieces tbf so i’ll be giving them a proper listen between now and then!
oh! Terry are in Dublin on the Thursday at Drop Dead Twice, rad!
haven’t been to Gravediggers myself cos it’s quite far out of the city centre, but i’d imagine it’s too far out to attract a great many tourists really, other than ones checking out Glasnevin Cemetery
