I picked up a very similar tent to that, that someone had left in the mud at Glastonbury 2007. Cleaned it up and used it at a lot of messier festivals over the years. Save for a couple of small burn holes caused by falling embers from a nearby tent fire at Reading 2009, it’s still functional. In fact used it at Arc-Tan-Gent last year - it rained heavily, non-stop for 18 hours on one day but the tent stayed dry inside.

if you’re actually going to go camping ever, though, you’ll have space for something a lot more comfortable. Speaking as someone who grew to an adequate height, it’s nice to be able to at least kneel upright in the tent.

Just get a shitty cheap one, it will be fine for the night and do you for anymore impromptu garden camping sessions. If you were actually going to get into proper camping you’d want a big family one so no point spending big bunce on a super posh two-manner
