Looks like it says Tenacious DD. Which better not be a boob joke

Ah yeah, I didn’t zoom in enough. Christ.

(I mean I guess unless they are all ladies in the band in which case, fair enough.)

Creed

I like the subtitles to explain who the bands are. More festival posters could do with adding this information.

‘It’s not just about booking more female acts because if there’s less of them then there’s less of them to go round all the festivals’

How can they say these things with a straight face?

The TRNSMT statement was a mess but underneath it I can see what he’s getting at: from a commercial point of view there’s simply not enough female acts, at every level, going around every year – specifically in indie/guitar circles. They’re not going to get The Big Moon to sub under Liam Gallagher, for instance.

It’s an industry-wide problem about needing to amplify female guitar acts – via press, radio, funding, TV – and getting them to the stage where they can be and are popular enough to be fitting into these sausage-fest lineups.

The problem is, this sort of meat and potatoes British indie music has always been so relentlessly male-dominated that it’s almost a feature in and of itself at this point. Pretty grim.

Isle Of Wight Festival comes through once again with an absolute stinker.

Ha ha, we’re considering going to that

Would definitely dance to some of that tbh tbf…

Yeah but theres not much going out outside Sam Fender and James Arthur

I am also consistently baffled by the success of The Courteeners. They should have quietly disappeared after their 2nd album, however, they seem to continue to get bigger and bigger.

Haha, that makes two of us, I enjoyed @damian’s vicious subtweet

A bridge that used to be totally enclosed, until they had to alter it post-Kasabian

Someone, somewhere is currently planning a tribute to Fyre Festival that will be a smoothly-run, value for money roaring success. Catch is it’ll be in November in Skegness.

PWEI were great but I don’t want to be stuck on a boat with that roll call of the UK’s B.O. champions
