(TEST FORUM) Post Restrictions

Not really a problem per se but think there are different restrictions on post length than what we currently have

Thanks for flagging. The settings are just the way they come out of the box, so there will be quite a lot we need to adjust to make it function exactly like the current site.

I scored this one

Seems like a reasonable validation check no?

Can probably find out the exact rule if useful. As long as it allows Dananananaykroyd

I’m not sure what the rule is nor what it’s preventing, but it feels like it could stop some entertaining titles

Think that’s the point, no fun allowed going forward

Default is max word length of 30 characters in the title. Again, I think an area we can look to copy settings from current DiS in due course

Never realised I couldn’t start a Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch thread on here tbh

My first post was just a link and now I’m in purgatory.

Allowed me to carry on browsing and liking posts but not to post replies or - and this is the kicker - vote in polls.

I’ve read everything and been promoted up a trust level, presumably to ‘Level 1 – Basic’. But all ^that remains

Probably a sensible anti-spam measure. Just wondering what the mechanism for release from purgatory is. Time, manual release by admin, or other?

A mod or admin will need to amend / approve your account. Same thing happened eith some of my “other” accounts here
