Ha, thanks @TAFH33 and @Octobadger - fingers crossed we get most people following the format and I only have to clean up a few. I’m a data analyst, so messy data is my daily reality, but I appreciate the potential for ‘Hey, I got this!’ hubris is off the charts here!
Good point on the formatting of votes @Octobadger. Tbh, I just lifted Prob’s text from last year here, and I can probably work around various delimiters, but yeah it makes more sense to be consistent with our conventions in the AOTM polls, weekly new release threads etc. I’ve updated the polling thread guidance

usually like to vote around new year but all my favourites locked themselves in as top 5 pretty much as soon as they each released so I’ve gone for them. pretty stacked year, I had loads of contenders for 5th before Rosalía released such an indisputable banger. also ppl voting for Horsegirl reminded me that I really liked that and haven’t listened for months so I’m bopping to that again

Loads of brilliant records and a few disappointments for me this year. Special mention to Jim Legxacy for black british music, which I was weirdly sure was going to be my album of the year, but which turned out to be half aoty and half absolute toilet.
