Matt Riddle in street clothes but still barefoot on raw has completely done me for some reason

oh boy this is happening again then

also no offence to impact (especially since a lot of people have spoken relatively highly of them in the last year or so) but nothing in the world would make me watch their show, looking forward to seeing the kenny promo clip tomorrow though

I was thinking after the Kenny win on AEW… Don’t AEW and impact air at the same time in the UK?

What do we reckon is gonna happen.
Kenny takes over Impact (maybe a real life takeover and that’s your 2nd AEW show?)
A bit of crossover for a bit as an event?
Something… else.

I don’t think itv will be too afraid of any clashing somehow :joy: Especially since the clips will be all over youtube by
I guess he’s going to go with the ‘‘I built aew and it mistreated me! Don Callis knows how to deal with a real champ’’ etc etc and Mox will be fighting valiantly for it, then maybe we get some more invaders like the Good Brothers or Sami etc etc. Wouldn’t be surprised if an AEW guy wins an impact belt to even the score too. No idea really, that’s the fun I guess.

Will be quite interesting to see what happens with the former Impact guys too, Penta, Cage, LAX

I’m just happy watching AEW on +1 when I can’t sleep and switching over to Smackdown too tbh.
Reckon they’ll basically redo the wwf/ecw invasion but learn from their mistakes.
Really weird time to be mixed two organisation wholesale (potentially) mid Pandemic.

Anything but this please. There’s not enough jobs around during the pandemic as it is, last thing workers both in and outside the ring need is for the number 2 and 3 promotions in the west to consolidate, and I can’t imagine it would be particularly good for creativity as a whole either.

I mean I don’t know enough about the backgrounds to both but as I understand it impact had a rough few years and is turning a corner.
I think it’ll prob be a short lived event with some talent exchange for a prolonged period. I don’t watch Impact at all so I’m interested to see what’s up with that.

I doubt this is it tbf. I can’t see why AEW would need/want to buy Impact. They’ve got more than enough bodies on the roster for 2 shows. A crossover that elevates both (one more than the other inevitably) and creates a bit of buzz is all they’re after.

I think there’s another channel with Impact but it’s on Free Sports on Wednesdays at 10pm so no clash there.

Yeah, I’d be surprised if it were that too.

Cool.
Aye its def on same channel as Dynamite on Fridays on one of those made up channels you scroll past like Discovery Pipes and Wheelbarrows or whatever :joy:

Interested to see how the Sting/Shaq combo does for the AEW 50+ demo. Its NXT’s last stronghold and you know these people are physically sitting down on Wed to watch wrestling, so try to chip some of them away perhaps.

so Keny didn’t really give anything away last night, but I must admit I did find this whole segment pretty funny, Josh Matthews particularly

Marky Mark Markington himself appeared too:

Thought they explained the steps so far, set out some intriguing goals and didn’t give too much away. Good balance. Omega wearing shitty bracelets, glasses indoors and ripped holes in his jeans does a good job making me hate him.

Impact on Twitch grew to over 50x the recent views they get and got 3x their record views.

I liked this (Tony’s ‘I did one Impact appearance then quit the business for 18 years’ line was gold) but I do hope TK isn’t planning on pushing himself forward too much. His rare appearances are fun but I don’t want him as an authority figure.
