Jeeze I come in here really positive about wrestling for a change and people still jump on me

Yeah, agreed. I don’t think he minds - he seems pretty happy and is still doing some of his best work. Was thinking more from the IWC (urgh) perspective.

Ha sorry, I’m actually impressed that you’re not letting it bother you anymore cuz I remember it did maybe only a year ago, and I agree that the wrestling is overall maybe in the best position its ever been? (At least since attitude era) I just find it quite funny that they’ve seemingly forgotten to book a PPV during maybe the most important week in the company’s life in a very long time.

If Bryan starts winding down (don’t blame him tbh) his run since returning will be one of the biggest opportunities Vince has ever fluffed. He’s special enough to have made some really good work out of utter shite but really, really bad booking for the most part.

hell in a cell matches are usually pretty long aren’t they so i’m hoping they don’t add too much more to the card

Sorry but I don’t agree, he’s essential to the Kofi story

Lesnar vs Kofi rematch where he gets squashed AGAIN

Nah, still a waste. He had a great match and agree he was a good heel in the run up but overall, over the past couple of years, he could’ve been one of the faces of the company.

Still so many programmes we’ll never get to see - Joe, Brock, AJ, even Seth
Instead he spent most of his time messing about with Shane

He was champion for months, dunno what else says face of the company than that?

Agree he spent far too long faffing about with Shane but

just finished AEW:

few production issues but i guess that’s to be expected. the set looks awesome and the pyro is cool but they need to turn the entrance music up (and get da gawd jim johnston in to write them some bangers).

jr miles better than at the last ppv but still think comms would be better if it was just excalibur and tony.

mad that cody has gone from being the worst guy at bola to a legit star. overall good show, but nxt was miles better (this week)

tl;dr: wrestling is good imo

we got the lesnar match at least even if they didn’t have a proper feud. reckon bryan is the kind of character who would rather help get some of the younger guys over than have a big main event programs now (give me d bry vs andrade, is what i’m saying)

I get the impression a lot of fans feel like that, and you’re right and if he had his way he’d probably be propping up 205 live. I just think there was money left on the table with his title reigns and his run in general :man_shrugging:

yeah think that’s probably fair. deffo should have done more than with him and miz for a start. him vs roman (i assume that this is where it’s all leading?) will be good though

I wouldn’t care about WWE’s booking if it wasn’t directly preventing me from enjoying some of my favourite wrestlers. I love people like Andrade, Asuka, Aleister Black and Ember as much as I love anyone in wrestling but I basically have to just give up on them until they get shifted back to NXT like Finn or leave cause I know they’re not getting anything any time soon. If my faves left then WWE could book its talent however it likes and I wouldn’t care.

That’s the biggest miss IMO - returning hero against what was at the time a hot as hell hero with a storyline that could be traced right back to his original NXT run.

You can get a pretty much daily Asuka fix by watching her be terrible at videogames on YouTube now.

Except Mario Maker. She’s very good at that.

They flubbed the initial part of Bryan’s return with the Cass feud and then screwing up the Miz feud really bad but his run as the Planet’s Champion was one of the few good things in WWE in the last 12 months. And we did get a Bryan/AJ program out of it at least. Hopefully before he retires they’ll let him just run through the card and do all the dream matches on his way out, like Angle’s retirement except with someone who can still go.
