Will always be inexorably linked with the pandemic for me, but equally almost feel like this album saved my life (or at least my mental health) - it appearing out of nowhere just as we entered that brutal winter lockdown was a genuine fucking christmas miracle. My favourite of theirs and always gets heavy rotation this time of year

Yeah this is basically how I feel about it. I didn’t have much connection to The Avalanches before but it seamlessly blended so many different influences into a big hug in album form.

It was my album of the year, whenever that year was, and my opinion hasn’t changed.
Love The Avalanches. SILY a top 5 all-timer for me and my go-to summer album.
