You know how they lived near Brisbane early in their career, first becoming successful while in Australia, but by no means would you think of them as an Australian band?
Well not in Australia! They’re pretty much referred to as an Australian band. Check out any list of “Best ever Australian bands” and they’ll likely be in there, which seems a bit sad.
Also, the seaside town they lived in, Redcliffe, actually has a Bee Gees way full of statues, murals, their music blaring in the middle of the street and is #2 on Tripadvisor for things to do in Redcliffe (tbf, they’re no whales).
