They’d just hit an iceberg if I recall correctly, and one of the people on the boat was trying to argue that, if anything, the Titanic was now even floatier than before. Everyone looked at him like he was an idiot, because by this stage the entire thing was flooded and they were up to their ankles in the Atlantic Ocean.
