Film makers are so hit and miss. Milos Forman for his second and third film, not for anything else. Bertolucci only cause of The Conformist, Errol Morris mainly cause of Vernon, Texas. TM for Days of Heaven. mm probably people I’ll remember when I see the full list of winners

I’ll add Kazuhiko Yamaguchi to my list??? Film studios through certain eras would be more accurate for some films that are good cause of directors being so useless at continuing to make good films

I had a one Kurosawa limit unfortunately.

Somehow haven’t seen Ida or Cold War yet, but I love My Summer of Love and Last Resort. The former is lush, great Goldfrapp soundtrack, brilliant performances. The latter is one of the best sub 90 minute films I’ve seen, great stuff from Paddy Considine in his pomp.

I think I’d like his films but I’ve not seen any of them
