might watch it again actually. Only saw it once, 24 (!) years ago.

Saw it at the BFI a couple of years ago, so much fun with an audience!

This has been the only one where I’ve struggled to pick a best film. So many genre classics.

The Simpsons has melted my brain so much that it defaults to thinking that ‘Rowdy Roddy Peeper’ is his name, which I then have to correct and go ‘no, it’s Piper’.

LOVE John Carpenter. Now that his film career has gone off a cliff, glad that he’s got a second career as a banging musician :+1:

He’s good at what he does but that ranking is nuts frankly

The whole ranking from here on in will be at least 50% nuts

20 votes and nobody’s gone for Escape From New York. The Thing is the best. Love films that spawn a lot of fan theories, like the coats by the door being on different hooks = MacReady’s fucked at the end.

Think Dark Star is in my top 3.

This is :exploding_head: to me Ant.

I have a bit of an aversion to “80s” anything which probably means I’ve never really felt as compelled to fill in blanks from that era as I have from others.

I’ll rectify it at some point I’m sure.
