Not great. My grandma has suddenly gone from fully independent, relatively healthy and shopping on the high street just a month ago, to being bed bound in hospital with metastatic terminal cancer and in a very confused state. Not sure she’ll make Christmas and things all feeling very sudden. I visited when she started being ill last week (she’s over 200 miles away so visiting isn’t easy with young fam). Trying to get my head around if/when I visit again. Not sure I want to see her in a bad way, which feels really selfish. Argh. Sorry for the downer

just turned the telly on and jeremy corbyn was doing as standing ovation as ed balls walked on stage, pretending to be an asdas home delivery man. turns out it’s the pride of britain awards and the man they were honouring was an asdas delivery man that stopped to help a lady in a car that was on fire, and ed was doing a bit.

Aw that’s rubbish :frowning2: I can sympathise with the young family / distance thing… Still, it might be worth trying to get down to say goodbye, even if you only spend a couple of hours with her. You might be a comfort. But yeah, thoughts with you and the family.

Went to my local to watch the matc and found out one of the regulars was good friends with Bobby Tambling in the seventies! Fucking brilliant stuff. Can’t wait to tell my Da about it.

Going to hit the bed now, watch some ‘Pulling’ and try and fall asleep early.
