I liked that inglorious basterds and kill bill had a bit of feelings in them like he was almost close to being a human for a couple of scenes and I like the films that kill bill nicks from. fell asleep in the hateful eight. Can’t remember the one where he plays an Australian. Jackie Browns the best one etc.

Pulp Fiction > Dogs > JB > Basterds (but the beginning is the best bit of any of his films) > Others

Forever marred by Weinstein and how much of a weird, aggressive little nerd he is

A few of his more recent films seem to reach a natural end point then carry on for another 45 minutes, destroying any enjoyment they’d built up.

Not really into his films. But also I’m not really into films, so I don’t think that really tells you much.

He looks a bit like his own face is eating himself, doesn’t he?

django’s got some great performances it’s just faaaaar tooooooo long

I still don’t quite understand how he managed to make Reservoir Dogs on a budget of $1.2m

Dogs don’t need to be paid

Reckon any film in which has a cameo role should automatically be docked 2 points (except Jackie Brown where he limits himself to appearing as an answering machine message).

Reckon I could churn out some equally puerile cack for a lot less.

“The smaller the budget, the better work the director produces”

I think this is something I think.

Yeah I can remember a couple of moments at most, probably bits from the trailer (Waltz and Foxx on a hill with rifles, Leo smoking a fancy cigarette saying “you have my attention” or whatever, and that’s literally it).

The Hateful Eight should have been good - basically two locations and a locked-room mystery thing, with a focus on the dialogue and all that, and he somehow still managed to make it completely bloated. I don’t even remember how all the violence kicks off in it, it had completely failed to hold my interest by then.

Probably just pocketed $1m of it hahaha

Hahahahahaha!

Nah, the scene in the bar is almost the equal of the first scene, unbearably tense and well shot and unpredictable.

I think IB is the film of his I enjoy the most tbh, just ludicrous, the bit where Hugo Steiglitz is introduced makes me grin every time.

Watched Reservoir Dogs for the first time in years the other day. It looks kinda dated, but mainly because it has been imitated so many times since. I still believe he peaked with his second film, although I fancy the new one more than anything else of his since PF
