Hadnโt seen hed bagged a few more, including Root. Gotta have a big day tomorrow.
people been saying this for three years now and he just keeps on taking loads of wickets in every format. bless his giant head
No test match wickets in that time which says a lot
Was nice to see Bethell get a maiden half century and put in two decent scores at least.
Not looking good for survival though. Hoping to make a trip to the ground at some point if things fall kindly later this season.
Bethel batted nicely. Deserved his 50.
Harrisโ and Higginsโ were particularly dismal.
Lovely ground though. Gonna make it again hopefully before the seasonโs out.
Andrew Symonds died in a car crash last night.
Always enjoyed his play, and in recent years his commentary/punditry on the Big Bash here. Very sad. He was only 46 and has two children.
Very sad news
Fuck thatโs sad. Was thinking about him just the other day cos i was remembering him bowling both medium pace and spin (in the same game i think though no idea which game i was thinking of) and thinking you really donโt see that that often these days (didnโt Sachin used to bowl both??) And whatever happened to that guy and now i know
Was only just reminded that England tried to nab him for the national team!
He said no way
jesus christ
Warne and now Symonds. awful news
in time-is-a-flat-circle news. promising english fast bowler suffers season ending injury immediately following breakout performance.
poor lad. why can none of them stay healthy
About nine years too late
Thought heโd gone already. Very strong โWhy now? Why not 5 years ago?โ feelingโฆ
Thought this was a good piece, and good of Liew to tackle. I think the lack of contrition or remorse shown since Hepburn was jailed is what stops me having any sense that heโs served a punishment and should be allowed the opportunity. Also, and far less importantly, weโre hardly lacking in explosive one day batters if we do continue to not allow him.
Yep this was a real good piece, nice to see it after a disappointing one from Dobell recently.
Agree on your last point, which makes it even worse that Key felt the need to discuss it without being prompted, and so many articles getting written about him and England chances.
Jimmy and Broad are BACK, Brook and Potts called up, entirely reasonably given their respective form (758 runs @ 152 in div 1, most runs in the country / 35 wickets at 19, top wicket taker in the country). Potts probably wouldnโt have got a look in without the raft of injuries to others, but still deserves a shot. No Parkinson but on English pitches the spinner probably wonโt get a huge go (cue NZ racking up 600-2) and Leach has been bowling well too.
Sticking with Crawley too for whatever reason. He has scored 156 runs in 8 innings this year, which has been an absolute run-fest for everyone else.
