Every holiday for the past 20 years… [Sophia - Holidays are Nice] Basically my resting brain soundtrack for getting ready to go on holiday. For anyone not familiar with Sophia, it’s the band Robin Proper-Sheppard formed after the untimely end of The God Machine. The God Machine were a hugely intense (and brilliant) band, so when I first heard this extremely jaunty ditty it cracked me up. Still love it

God Machine were such an amazing band - was lucky enough to catch them on the first album tour. I remember when One Last Laugh came out, Melody Maker compared it to the recently released Superunknown which I thought was silly as Last Laugh is clearly a far superior album. Got both albums on CD but definitely interested in a re-release
