Decent but nowhere near as good as Primary Colours/Skying

That’s what I suspected intuition

I prefer it to Primary Colours and Skying. I think they’ve always had an upwards trajectory.

it’s good, just feels a bit disjointed. Not as consistent as Skying.

Also here on Soundcloud:

I’m really liking everything I’ve heard from this album.

Weighed Down is closer to their ‘psych’ stuff done before but it hits home.

Looking forward to this LP.

album sounds good so far. Not quite keen on the opening track, but it may grow on me.

I do not know how much the world needed that a good band to suddenly decide to follow the same U2’s or Depeche Mode’s mistakes, but ok then.

Need more time with the whole thing, but Something to Remember Me By is up there with my tracks of the year, just got it on infinite repeat for now.

Really digging the album - a big improvement on the last, which I never really went back to.

Yep, this is great. The singles, along with Press Enter to Exit and Point Of No Reply are highlights for me so far.

I saw Faris yesterday in Crouch End. Said hello. He said, “Every time I see you, you’re at the pub.” What else is there to do in Crouch End?

Wouldn’t that mean he was at the pub too though?

We were sitting at a table in front of the pub, though not the same table as last time, as he walked down the pavement. Probably going from M&S to the recording studio nearby.

Can The Horrors do more house music please? They’re really good at it.

First listen, I like it a lot more than the last one.

easily better than Luminous.

I was expecting to be disappointed, but I like this album way more than I thought I would.

Better than Luminous, but not convinced it’s up there with their best work:

Hologram is good, though the similarity of the bass line to ‘Army of Me’ distracts

Not sure about Press Enter to Exit - fairly dull track but a nice guitar solo

Big fan of Machine, sounds fantastic :+1:t2::+1:t2::+1:t2:

Ghost and Point of No Reply are both very good

Then it falls into a bit of a lull until Something To Remember Me By, which is stellar

sort of agree on the back half, but I otherwise like the individual tracks. I feel alone in not being especially impressed by Something to Remember Me By. I like Press Enter quite a bit

I catch a bit of Al Doyle/New Build in their more dance oriented stuff. Which is a good thing.
