So jealous! I had a ticket to see them on that tour at the Bristol O2, but missed it due to some train fuckery. One of my biggest gig regrets.
The Last Baron is the best song and their career highlight. Should be even longer than 13 minutes imo. THAT RIFF that comes in at around the 8 minute mark is ridiculously good.

I saw them at Sheffield Corporation on that tour, supported by Winnebago Deal! I had a CTS hoodie at the time that I wore constantly until it fell apart!
Underrated track from one of their great albums. The ending has to be a contender for one of the heaviest breakdowns ever. Wouldnât be out of place on a Converge album!

Crack The Skye is incredible and the heavy bit at the start of Where Strides the Behemoth is one of my favourite bits on any metal tune, itâs disgusting 
Me too. I remember being gutted (as a teenager) that they cancelled same dayâs album signing at Sheffield HMV with no notice. I also have a hazy memory of Brent being sick at the back of the stage. These things may be related.
Saw that live too! They didnât play any of my non crack the skye favourites though
2004 with Slayer around the time of Leviathan might be the only time i saw them. May have been another time though as Iâve remembered bands Iâve seen lately that i forgot about 
Also, i had a very cool Rasputin T-shirt from the Crack The Skye era that I would love again
Somehow I either never checked them out outside of Leviathan or the Al um I tried didnât appeal.
Anyway, I have been playing Crack the Skye a bunch today off the back of your enthusiasm and, yeah, itâs great.
Really enjoying the new album. Comfortably their best since Crack the Skye. Glad theyâve recovered their ability to thrash.

Thought the album as a whole was good, not amazing, but (as with most of their post CTS stuff) thought it still has a handful of bangers. Barbarians Blood is huge
