such a weird day.

still waiting on PCR test.

lot of work going on that’s pulling me in a fair few directions. have had to assume i can’t see pals tonight bearing in mind wasn’t sure when i’d get results.

and then… suddenly realised what today’s date is. dad has been gone a couple years now.

Finally put it on the door after having to stick my finger in the hole for months to open the door :laughing:

It’s brolite which is a new version of Bakelite I think. Doesn’t have the same amazing feeling of an old Bakelite door knob but I’m still really pleased. Really like Bakelite fittings. Would love some light switches but cba.

ANYWAY, today is Friday the 13th. So I will be watching Friday the 13th… and all the others as is tradition.

Off for dinner with my dad tonight. It will be the first time I’ve seen him since Christmas 2019. Already feeling a little emotional.

Earlier today I booked us a table at a swanky Italian restaurant in Islington (North London Metropolitan Elite etc) and ever since Instagram has been feeding me ads for Dr. Oetker pizzas. Might just sack off the reservation and drag him back to mine for a Ristorante Speciale.
