Office opens at 7 so I guess anytime before 8?

Interview this afternoon. Our CEO sent an exceptionally shitty email over the weekend just in case I needed any more confirmation that leaving is the right thing to do. He (of course it’s a he) is an absolute weapon.

I’ve got to be in at 5 Friday, Saturday and Monday :grimacing:

3 day week, it still feels like forever

Got a potentially quite horrible day of work ahead of me which I’m about to start now.

Sigh…

Morning, I’m off for an annual medical for one of my clients. Pretty sure all they need is a note search but my GP insists on doing a full examination with a urine test and everything. Looking forward to being told I’m obese and to get more exercise and have I considered smaller portion sizes? which I get every year :upside_down_face:

Better get listening to some kasabian while you still can

Cheers buddy. It’s over in York which means I’d be committing to a bit of a commute - apparently they’re open to flexible working so hoping I can still do a day or so a week from home. Of course, that would require them to hire me - surprised they are doing the face-to-face after I totally blanked on 2 out of 3 of the technical questions on the phone interview! Clearly I’m very charming…

Good luck for your interview @Twinkletoes, also I think for @laelfy and @ghostpony too? And @anon82218317 for the presentation, sure it’ll go well :+1:

Dropped R off for his last pre-Christmas day of preschool, they had a mini-bouncy castle being set up. Dreading the Christmas break tbh. Need to get all the things done this morning while I still can :disappointed:

Morning all! Really can’t get going this morning stayed up late watching Die Hard and very sleepy today. Cba with work, might find somewhere to have a snooze. I know I post this view a lot but it’s particularly attractive this morning…

Had the chatty tube driver this morning who likes the sound of his own voice between every station. ā€˜Oooh people get hot and I know we’re all in our best jumpers and coats but you might want to think about taking them off in case you overheat! Thank you for travelling on the Northern Line this morning’. Shut up m9.

Think I’m slightly irritable because I have to put eyedrops in EVERY WAKING HOUR OF THE DAY.

Morning everyone! My mate accidently disconnected a ventilator in my face on thursday and today I have a really bad chest and throat which is awesome, FEELING GREAT. I also have to do Christmas shopping. NOOOO

I have a serious amount of fear here. Too many weekend pints.

Played blind man’s buff last night though so that was good

On a similar note: I don’t live in London but upon visiting (on my one-day travelcard) I’ve noticed an increase in the number of TfL staff who try to make a bit of a joke out of asking people to let people off the trains, make room for people on the platform etc etc. Their patter must get pretty wearing after a while.

Aye that patter is shite but you do get the occasional gem, the guy singing ā€˜Football’s Coming Home’ over the PA as the tube pulled into Bank over the summer was great.

One thing I have noticed in the 6 year gap I had between commuting by tube is that people are far more willing to give up their seats to people, and I’ve noticed far more blokes will offer up to a female women if one’s going spare, nice to see :slightly_smiling_face:

Don’t want to do today.

Occupational therapist appointment, going to take anything between two and four hours. Talked about the dread in the MH thread so won’t rehash old ground.

Better evening ahead, thankfully.
