Finished season 2 last night. Hmm, lots to unpack…

Definitely did not have the wow factor of season 1, which I absolutely ripped through at the time. Loved the unreliable narrator stuff, and the enclosed locations of that first season. Also loved the originality of using quite so much interpretative dance. The very existence of season 2 answered whether she was an unreliable narrator or not, so that was a done deal. Also, season 2 definitely skirted with silliness at times which the first did not do. That said, still found it compelling. New cast were good, HAP is a genuinely unsettling antagonist, and it was great to have the kids/BBA back together. When not veering too much towards silliness, some of the weirdness was genuinely entertaining - almost fairy tale-ish. Also the whole thing was filmed absolutely stunningly. The ending? Well, in fairness I did not see that coming…

I think I’ll give this a go. I found Season 1 intriguing, irritating and entertaining.

The willingness to be bold and take risks is really appealing.

Definitely worth it :+1: It is certainly not like other things…

I’m halfway through episode 4 and loving it. Still an amazing combination of smart, cool and utterly sappy.

It’s a definite improvement on Season 1. Still nuts obviously but I think the writing is sharper.

Karim Washington is a great character.

Good :+1: Report back when you get to the end…

Come back to me at the end of the episode

I think I know why you’re saying this.

I have an inkling that I’m going to meet an interesting character.

I’m there. Absolutely loved it.

Old Night is a babe.

Finished Season 2.

I’m not sure what I thought of the final episode to be honest. What I do know is that I loved the first seven.

Yes, the show has some sappy moments but it also does some very cool things. French’s hook-up being a case in point, I haven’t seen that handled so well in many shows.

I’m starting to wonder if Brit Marling doesn’t have something of a Messiah complex in real life and that it’s spilling on to the screen here. I don’t know.

I want to see more Karim Washington and I understand that he’ll feature in S3. God knows where the show is going next.

:astonished: Could see them making a film to wrap it up

Haven’t gotten around to watching the second series yet (sorry anyone who was hoping for more), presuming from your comment it leaves it open?

Felt a bit weird when it came back, a bit out of place given how much Netflix’s original output has changed in the time since the first series appeared and how ruthless they are with cancellations now.

The ending of the second season is fucking WILD. I quite like the idea of it being left with it as it is somehow.

It’s wild but I definitely wanted them to try to give it a little more structure in a 3rd series. I heard they had 5 planned so I’d hope the 3rd would be where it stops just going out there as much?

Oh wut was I actually one of the few people who enjoyed the last season?

I think lots of people enjoyed it but Netflix don’t seem to care about that. If it’s not driving new subscribers they will cancel it.

Not started season 2 yet and after I read it had been cancelled I wondered whether to bother. I think I’ll still watch it though as I enjoyed season 1 and maybe Prime will pick it up or something (as it did with The Expanse).

Debating whether to rewatch from the start. I remember thinking the first season was kind of slightly a bit too much on the side of New Agey bollocks at times, buuuuut there’s also stuff about it that’s stuck in my mind in a really interesting way, aaaaaaand I soured to it because I watched it with my parents who decided to binge watch it to the point that I was genuinely sick of it and its bizarrely inconsistent episode lengths.

Heard interesting things about season 2, as well.
