Oh sure.

Basically in the post-2016 Conservative Party if you’re > 75% like John Redwood - you’re fine. If you’re < 75% like John Redwood - you’re fucked.

And they’re all there in the comments. “MY struggle was real. YOURS is not.” Apparently gay people were NEVER accused of coming after other people’s children. Talk about not knowing your own fucking history.

 at Spreadsheet Phil trying to channel his inner Martin Luther King.

Fucks sake, they’ve got prop cough sweets

All these ‘both sides though’ people really need to piss off forever. Maybe they can start pining for their new centrist party again

They’re going to be rolling those out until the next election’s done with.

Why is he telling jokes? He’s not very good at that. Or being a chancellor.

Genuinely can’t keep my concentration for more than a few seconds at a time.

I heard the first ten minutes in the car and he said literally nothing of any note. Going for the liveblog approach now.

omg I just smirked at a Philip Hammond joke

“I know Jeremy Clarkson doesn’t like them, but there are many other good reasons to pursue this technology so today we step up our support for it. Sorry Jeremy, not the first time you’ve been snubbed by Hammond and May,” Mr Hammond jokes.

urgh

I didn’t understand that joke until you type it out. So thanks.

So he’s found £3bn for Brexit prep and £125m for affordable housing. Interesting…

£125m is an absolute drop in the ocean though. An increase is usually something to be applauded, but it’ll do next to nothing given how large the problem is.

Sorry that’s exactly what I meant.

Ah, apologies. Didn’t read that into it

Nah I wasn’t very clear was I. Amazing how many £Xbn figures he’s been throwing around considering how there’s supposedly no money to spend. Anybody’d think he was just full of shit all the time.

Ooh have we been overtaken in the “biggest ruddy economy in the world” race by… France?

ÂŁ125m is what, 500 homes?

The top 1% are paying more in income tax than at any time under Labour, he says.

This isn’t a good thing, as all it shows is that the top 1% are earning more than at any time under Labour.
