Conversely, my LEAST favourite food is Tapas.

You go to a restaurant, order the stuff you like, it gets put down on the table and before you know it the people up the other end of the table have eaten your choices, leaving you with those weird octopus tentacle things that make you retch just thinking about them.

No - if I’m ordering food, give it to me.

in fairness though I don’t like eating with other people either, I just want to be left alone with my food, I don’t want to talk or socialise whilst I’m eating personally

Nah, sometimes it’s nice to have a meal that’s yours to enjoy exactly as you like. Not exclusively a NW European thing either - bentos and thalis are lovely little worlds of personal enjoyment.

Tbf this is definitely a pitfall of being vegetarian these days since meat eaters woke up to veggie food also being actual food - non-meat options can get cleared out super fast :grimacing:

Not a swipe at you Bam, I just don’t like laziness as a term and it can be well exclusionary for some people who’ve been told they’re lazy all their lives when actually shit’s just hard!

I’m really unsinful according to these, like I’m a bit gluttony but not as much as I used to be and I just don’t really do any of the other gumf, I just want to be left alone to do my thing really.

yeah it was a bit of a joke at my own expense, sorry I didn’t mean to legitimise laziness as a reason. I suffer from bad anxiety a lot of the time and have to work myself up to doing small and insignificant things so I totally understand. Still I do view it as living my life on my terms and think fighting against social conditioning to accept not wanting to achieve things is also commendable.

I think it’s more the surprise element of somebody taking some of your food, if it’s a prearranged deal then that’s fine but if I imagine enjoying a pizza and I only get half I will be sad

You can create some really great memories from doing nothing, just go sit in a park or stare out of the window, have a nap etc. Good times

Maybe there are some birds out the window, or just nice leaves or something. Simple things are awesome when you look at them for a bit.

Loads of birds in my garden right now, especially pigeons. Pigeons are fun to watch because they look so empty of thought and serene, very calming
