Album release show at Mono last night (Acoustic). Some good “bants”, particularly involving Mr Graham Snr, if you’ve got a spare hr.

Brudenell last summer might be the best gig I’ve ever been to. And I’m an old cunt.

Having listened to the album fairly continuously today; it really does improve with listens. I was a little underwhelmed this morning, but now it sound fabulous. Really thrilling stuff.

I gave the singles cursory listens but avoided more than one play so I could approach the album as fresh as possible. I’ve listened to the album twice now and I really like it, I can see it growing on me even more with further listens.

Let/s Get Lost is euphoric.

Second time through and I’m enjoying it a lot more

It’s quite funny how at least the top 5 gig of the decade haven’t changed since 2017 (for better/worse cause one of em I’m going to have to discuss even if I’m wrong)

My copy hasn’t arrived yet :disappointed_relieved:

tried to pick it up from HMV after work but they didn’t have it. i suppose they’re probably not stocking new releases while in administration? i remember having trouble finding the last album on release in a couple of different shops too, but don’t really have anywhere else to try anytime soon this time round. might order it from Norman Records.

gonna try not to listen to it until it gets here, other than the singles

Yeah, I think HMV/Fopp aren’t getting anything new in at the moment :frowning:

Bending Sound in Bangor would have it if you drive…

i get the train out there occasionally when they’ve got a sale on but i’m usually more of a CD guy and mightn’t have much time to get out there this weekend anyway

First listen complete. Back half of the record is fucking majestic.

revisited the 3rd album this week actually and think it might ultimately hold up better than the 4th for me. i do love the synths and the post-punk grooves on it.

Is this their set at Primavera last year on the Pitchfork stage? I was utterly blown away by that and I wasn’t even that big of a fan beforehand.

I cried - a blinding, blinding set. This band man.

No, they played 3/4 (5?) years ago and also played parc de cituadella. A small open air stripped back gig that nearly didn’t happen because of the rain, it literally started raining just after they finished.

They did mapped by what surrounded them to finish and it was probably the best thing I’ve ever seen live. The only time I’ve got genuine goosebumps from a band bar the first time I saw Anohni live

There’s some of the set on YouTube, if anyone is interested.

What a song Keep It All To Myself is.
