someone I know at work put her (work) laptop in her bag and went into the ladies. Plonked her bag down on the side of the big sink area and headed to a cubicle

when she cam out her bag had fallen into the sink, triggering the motion sensing tap. Her bag (and laptop) were now full of water

Eek :scream:

i balanced my laptop on the bathroom sink while i was having a bath a few weeks back (i watch watching some netflix shite you perverts!!) and when i got out i realised the tap had been leaking onto it. it was fine until i tipped the laptop up on one side and all the water trickled in through the keys. DERP. so left it on the radiator overnight and it seemed fine the next day.

and now, the punchline!! later that day i smashed the screen.

why aren’t waterproof floating laptops a thing yet?

I poured nail polish remover on my keyboard once. It went a bit bonkers, when you typed, instead of letters there were these satanic like symbols. Weirdy. It dried and was fine.

At the risk of sounding like Rolf Harris though: learn to swim.
