Not getting my hopes up about Uxbirdge. Even if Boris Johnson loses, if the tories have a majority they’ll just shithouse a way for him to still be leader. If they weren’t going to do that, they’d have chucked him somewhere else.

Absolutely exhausting day in Wimbledon, barely sat down since 9am. Lots of Lib Dem turncoats stinking up the place. They’ve convinced the middle classes that they need to vote tactically for them (they came a distance third last time). Finished off with an estate and got about fifteen people to head out to the polling station and vote Labour, which is something at least.

All the posts seem to claim there are only 8,10,20 etc votes in it in key marginals, with labour currently losing them.

Obviously they cant know precisely how many votes are in it in any constituency until the results are counted, even with private polling etc

So pretty clearly trying to gotv. But i dont doubt that its very close in all the seats theyre highlighting - thats why theyre focusing on them.

Run another two boards this evening, so that’s 6 in all - feels like the vote is turning out. Knocking it on the head now

Story of the day is someone canvassed by the Tories this morning and us shortly after. He told us the Tories had really pissed him off by being too aggressive and asked if he could do anything, so we told him about GOTV.

2 hours later he’d turned up at one of the campaign centres with 5 mates. :+1:
