Hang on. Surely his “I’m not really into politics…” bit (and the ‘hats off/brave’ bit, too) is a flag that he’s joking here? Isn’t he quite publically a self-declared democratic socialist, with an extensive string of pro-Sanders and pro-Corbyn stuff to his name as well. (Wikicheck: yup.)

I was presuming that Heidecker’s response was him being snared into an earnest reply to an obvious joke by Delaney. And that @wikihock was flagging how Heidecker had fallen for the bait.

Think it’s a 6pm KO on the west coast and seeing as it’s a gosh darn 80 degree day we’ll be at the beach. Probably just watch a bit of CNN whilst making dinner, no way I could sit through it without clawing my eyes out.

Think he’s been on Chapo Trap House a couple of times, so this particular brand of “centrist melt” tweets is very much in that vein…

Also he has an album, apparently? And it’s… fine? and not a joke, I don’t think? Unless it’s sufficiently deadpan that he recorded a quite normal Laurel Canyon/Harry Nilsson-esque record as a joke that I don’t understand, but at some point, a record’s just a record.
