in practice they are likely to have a 6-3 SCOTUS majority by then and you can expect a hell of a lot of intimidation at the polls as well as a huge amount of voter suppression - that we’re already seeing

In predominantly white neighbourhoods I was seeing reports of 8-15 minutes waiting time
however, this might mean something positive - that voters are determined and mobilised to vote against Trump. We’ll see
and don’t forget that in 2013 the SCOTUS struck down a significant section of the Voting Rights Act making in practically unenforceable
I mean, I hope I’m completely wrong with the outcome but the Republicans ARE gearing up to protect their Presidency in the Supreme Court and even if they fail a 6-3 SCOTUS should not in any way be underestimated in terms of bringing misery to all but the richest, whitest, heteronormative, anti-feminist, anti-immigrant, homophobic & transphobic citizens of the US, even if the Dems are in office
