The Economist said 96% of Biden victory

If Biden doesn’t win The Economist is finished its as simple as that

When do you think we will find out who won?

  • Nov. 3rd
  • Nov. 4th
  • Nov. 5th
  • After Nov. 5th

Like official concession from one side? Maybe not until Thursday but I reckon exit polls etc will make it pretty clear from early on.

Was mainly thinking concession, because two battle ground states in PA and NC got granted nine days after the election day to accept absentee ballots from the Supreme Court today. Could be awhile if its close.

This is really not very far away now is it.

Felt like one of those events that was going to forever be in the future.

Trump reaction if clear defeat is on the cards

  • Ranting and raving but essentially accepts it
  • Ranting and raving and digs in
  • Accepts with dignity (lol)
  • Disturbing radio silence
  • Other (please state)

I reckon if it’s full defeat he’ll just be nonchalant about it. Like fuck the public they’re too stupid to pick the right choice and they’ll regret it, I’m off, bye, type stuff.

an immunity from all prosecution deal with Biden in order to concede

That decision in PA feels horribly like a stay of execution. Biden needs to be clearly ahead to take the state with three of the justices ominously saying they might want to return to the ruling and ACB ready to weigh in next time if they do. They’ll undoubtedly push it over the line for Trump if needs be.

Best case scenario is he’ll rant and rave, claim the election was stolen, continually threaten non-specific legal action… I can’t see him publicly accepting defeat ever but I can’t see him barricading himself in the White House either.

EDIT: Actually, my bit about non-specific legal action is rubbish, isn’t it. It’ll go to the courts and he’ll keep it there as long as he can so he doesn’t have to admit he lost.

I honestly think he kinda hates being president, and if he can find a way to get off without any resultant jail sentences (which he will, obviously), then he’d probably accept being able to do all of:

  1. Phone into Fox whenever he likes to complain about how much better it was when he was president
  2. Continue his grift, maybe set up a TV channel or something
  3. Just play golf and sleaze on young women, like in the good old days, and finally sort out the divorce

Those are all things he would just love to do

never in a million years would be just accept defeat and move on without having some snide little bullshit comment. He’s a fascist megalomaniac its primed in his DNA.

I would also love to read the note he left Biden on the white house table if he lost.

I assume they mean Jason from the Friday The 13th films?

Does anyone know the timings next week? I remember staying up late in previous US elections watching the coverage, but which hours are key?
