Bit late innit.

Anyway I got these today out of morbid curiosity and fear they might be too actual-meat like for me to actually try.

I’m thinking of buying an air fryer, is it worth it for vegans? I got some Amazon vouchers and the ninja one is on $90.

Went to Crazy Pedro’s pizza in Manchester and ate a pizza with vegan chk’n nuggets, baked beans and potato waffles on it. Big winner.

Seen they have vegan chicken oxo cubes now

Made some vegan chocolate orange brownies and tried roasting done seitan rather than steaming. Think I’m slowly perfecting the brownie recipe

A few weeks ago I tried to remake one I’d had there a few years ago that was smoked cheese and nuggets

Got a bag of this, I’m not vegetarian so not super up on vegan cheese but it was pretty good

Big into the following rn:

Vivera kebab meat
La Vie bacon (tried the This! stuff earlier and hated it)
Violife cheese slices

@boxtoboxelder you can do veggies in the airfryer, and jacket potatoes (they come out amazing) and also do fun stuff like kale crisps.

I find mine pretty handy for all sorts of things, and it’s the absolute best for crisping tofu.

I just crisped tofu the other day! Absolutely amazing. Been cooking chips and veggie nugs too. Absolutely amazing! My son loves our new food droid.

That brownie looks amazing! Any chance you could share the recipe?

How were they? Also where did you get them, I’ve been wanting to try but haven’t seen them anywhere

A somewhat vague one!

One tin vegan condensed milk
The syrup of a jar of orange peel in syrup from Lidl during greek week plus about 2/3 of the peel, diced.
2 tbsp chia seeds in water
About 50 ml veg oil

Add the dry
175g sr flour
70g cocoa
Tbsp baking powder

Top with 1 cacao liquor button (or a chunk of dark chocolate or something) and a bit of peel per brownie square

180 degrees 22-25 mins.

Had this in the week and really liked it.

Haha amazing, thanks. When’s the next Lidl Greek week?

Ah, you may have to ask the lidl thread if there is a regular way they cycle through weeks. There has been a few since so maybe in a month or so. Otherwise, the jar was 453g and orange peel made up 40% of that weight apparently so can probably find similar elsewhere.
