Also friends have been going to Pret for lunch a bit recently so I’ve rediscovered the dark chocolate cookie from there, it’s proper good.

I’m not adverse to it but something about how rounded it is makes me feel odd.

Don’t look at it

where do you get these from?

Ok this may be old news to some of you, but I’ve only gotten round to trying this egg replacer lately and, let me tell you, it is the one:

Makes better yorkshires & toad-in-the-hole than I’ve had since going full V.

Asked a friend what she was planning to make for Christmas and she alerted me to the existence of these bad boys:

Only available from their site as far as I can tell but I love their steaks so making a wellington out of one of these is going to be wonderful

this crosses over into the line towards nauseating for me

It is a bit unnerving looking, but also very tasty. That said I have kimchi in my fridge that’s literally years old and I’m still thinking of eating that some day.

Oh that reminds me: if you ever open a box of tempeh and it smells off, do not cook with it. Even though it tasted fine it filled my kitchen with a smell like someone set fire to a catpiss soaked merkin and I couldn’t clear it for days. Ideally you should bury it at least five miles from your house just in case

Anybody have a solid recipe for scrambled tofu? Had some out for breakfast today and it was encredible. Yellow (probably turneric) but super lightly seasoned and rich.

$55 over here :grinning: that’s a no from me, even getting past the ick factor

I am enjoying Jude’s vegan custard

This is the best one I’ve found. Hulled tahini made a huge difference for me, totally different flavour, no bitterness to it at all.
