I’ve not seen the new episode yet but his speech at the end of the finale was probably the only redeeming feature of the episode even if it was pretty much word for word (minus the cussing) from the comic.

there’s an uncensored video on youtube of that with all the cursing added back in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mDZAgIIumgA

Haha yeah, I had heard about this - saved for the DVD extras or something? Just like the end of Season Four with the whole “Screwing/Fucking with the wrong people” lark - I thought AMC could get away with the occasional Fuck? I’m sure Mad Men and Breaking Bad had the odd one…

I thought the start of Fear was interesting, but it very quickly sank bank into “people running around the countryside doing horrible things to each other”, and frankly, I don’t need 30 weeks of that a year. Can’t help but feel it would’ve been served by being an anthology series - focusing on a different story or idea each season. LA as society collapses. Washington DC, as the US government tried to stop it. A community of survivors above the snow line (see World War Z). Could even have a degree of interaction with the main series - they could’ve had one on the backstory of Terminus, for instance.

Anyway. The premiere is just forty five minutes of unrelenting misery. JDM really inhabits the canculated brutality of Negan character. Once again they did stuff on TV that I never thought would happen (previously: The Governer, Hershel, and the sword). Probably not the best start to the day, all told.

Mate. Kindly blur spoilers - please and thank you.

Sorry I just read this back and I sound quite dickish. Apologies! Probably should have avoid the thread until later…

I thought it was a brilliantly bleak episode.

How do you blur words on here? I haven’t worked that out yet.

That was good. Particularly liked Maggie’s (now sadly unachievable) fantasy vision of the future of them all eating a shit meal on a patch of mud.

My apologies I haven’t worked out the spoiler thing on iPad yet

No worries - still enjoyed it regardless

To blur spoilers, there is a cog symbol next to the smiley face symbol that should give you three options - hide details, blur spoilers and build poll.

my housemates are always watching this. it looks so endlessly endlessly endlessly bleak. not sure why people bother.

Think I’m done.

This is good: http://www.vulture.com/2016/10/walking-dead-empty-violence.html?

You can just type [ then spoiler then] and the same at the end but start with t/

Do you only watch it because of the guys on here likening you to Glenn?

Thanks. I got it I had the show preview on since starting on the new boards as a default and never saw the cog before.

At the moment think I’ll probably give it up here too. It’s been a good innings but it has been going downhill for a while now. Plus there’s much better shows around.

I might be wrong but this feels like the end for me. Shame, but still.

I dunno, this might have been the jolt i needed to get me back into this show - i like JDM i’m glad he’s in there as Neagan

not sure about the other story that’s developing with the weird dreadlock king man and his pet tiger

No Theo, I don’t.

This was just… I had to look away so much. Really would just prefer it if they just killed everyone off I reckon. This may have been bleaker than when Carol killed those two girls.

Pretty pointlessly bleak wasn’t it. Not sure it’s very interesting anymore. Especially as I watched Westworld straight afterwards and was like ‘oh yeah I remember what interesting TV is like now’
